UT0455 - Utah Fits All Scholarship Program Amendments

Description

PFPS Summary: UT HB455 adds regulations to and reduces the value of Utah's education savings account voucher program. It adds and disallows some specific uses of voucher funds, sets stricter residency requirements and processes for income verification, requires reporting on students' academic activities, and requires more robust auditing. The bill reduces the voucher amount for homeschooled students from $8,000 to $4,000 for students age 5-11 and $6,000 for students age 12-18. For private school students the bill removes annual increases in the voucher amount in previous law and instead leaves the voucher at $8,000 in perpetuity.
