To Create The Arkansas Child Academic Opportunity Scholarship And Grant Act.
Description
PFPS Summary: HB1371 establishes a new tax credit voucher, the Arkansas Child Academic Opportunity Scholarship. Eligible students are those transferring from a public school and meeting the income requirements; students with disabilities or those in foster care also qualify. The voucher has a cap of $10 million ($4 million goes to private school vouchers), and this would automatically increase 25 percent each year that it meets the cap.
