Amend provisions pertaining to the partners in education tax credit program.

Description

PFPS Summary: SB 94 is an amendment to the Partners in Education tax credit voucher program established in 2021, which funds private school vouchers by giving insurance companies a tax credit for donations to the voucher program. It adds requirements that scholarship-granting organizations make annual reporting on participation agreements, have a board consisting of at least 5 SD resident members, have staff and physical location in SD, and have agreements to work with at least 20 percent of the qualifying private schools in the state. It also limits participating schools to working with only one scholarship-granting organization.
